Sophie Falsini, a key member of the UNCDF Policy Accelerator team, has been named to the Innovate Finance “Women in Fintech Powerlist 2022”. Sophie provides technical assistance and conducts research on how evidence-based approaches can advance more inclusive regulations and policies that prioritize the needs of end-users.

“Strengthening evidence-based approaches is key to advance more inclusive regulations and policies, which put end-users to the forefront” shares Sophie. “When we base our work on solid research and data, we are able to respond to customer’s real and diverse needs, aspirations and challenges. We need to look beyond access to financial products and services and foster a safe and regulated environment in which last-mile customers can use, control and benefit from being digitally and financially included, while contributing to their financial health. To achieve that, advancing women’s and girls’ digital financial inclusion is paramount, and it is our duty not to leave anybody behind.”
